My name is Beata, mixed media artist, mum, dreamer.

My main aim with my art is to inspire you to believe in yourself, in your dreams and to remind you every day that you are special! You deserve the best life you can imagine!

The idea is: Dream big, and work hard for it. If you are really passionate about it you will surely achieve it.

In this blog I'm planning to inspire you and myself with inspirational thoughts, colours, etc and I'm going to document my progress step by step.

I would be more than happy if you joined me on my journey. Let me know how you are getting on. Let's do this journey together! Let's achieve our biggest dreams! : )

My story

Ever since I remember I loved making art. Unfortunately when I was 18 years old and had to decide which way to go, I didn't have enough confidence to go to art school. Wouldn't have got the support anyway, art is just for fun, right? Not anymore : )

I already finished my studies and started working as a personal assistant when reading about the life of Vincent Van Gogh, and a strange thing happened. I decided that I wanted to be an artist.

I had an exhibition of Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Dali reproductions, but I haven't found my own style yet...

After moving to the United Kingdom I started to experiment with different methods, but I was not ready yet.

When I was pregnant with my little girl, I decided that I didn't want to go back to work, but start to work from home. This was important because of my daughter, but also because of those dreams.

I had an idea book filled with all kinds of ideas I wanted to consider, but at the time couldn't decide about them.

One day I was looking for a pair of earrings. I knew exactly how I wanted them to look, but haven't found anything similar. That is when I decided to start my business Iyobo Design, and started to create jewellery.

The name is my African name, in case you were wondering. I got it when I visited Nigeria.

I loved to create all the colourful jewellery, but after a while I got confused. The desire for making art came back stronger than ever and I listened to it this time.

By now I changed my website to fit my art better, but still selling my jewellery in the sale section
